[Abstract]:

At 4:15 AM in September 27, 2023,

the Long March 4C Y54 launch vehicle successfully launched the Yaogan-33-04 satellite into its target orbit at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

The launch task was a complete success.

The satellite and launch vehicle were developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology.

Launch vehicle test team

Further refining the process at the launch site to ensure high-quality completion of the mission

The Long March 4C launch vehicle for this launch mission is a normal-temperature liquid three-stage launch vehicle. It has excellent performance with a wide range of applications. For different types of satellites, the Long March 4 series of launch vehicles can employ flexible launching schemes, with the capability of launching satellites of various types and with different orbital requirements, and can carry out single-satellite or multiple-satellite launching with one launch vehicle. Its payload capacity into a sun-synchronous orbit can be up to 3 tons (orbital altitude of 700 kilometers).

This mission marks the sixth launch of the Long March 4 series of launch vehicles at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in 2023. Under the leadership of chief administrative officers and chief designers, the personnel of each position in the aerospace products insisted on continuous operation, kept the "empty cup" mentality, and treated each launch vehicle as a major task. Through the procedures learning, quality group meeting and pre-shift meeting, etc., to enhance the quality consciousness, it was ensured that the operation and interpretation were accurate, with a result of high-quality completion of the launch mission.

The attitude control engine of this launch vehicle was in a fully redundant state. This technological improvement was assessed through a maiden flight at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center earlier this year. For its inaugural implementation at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, the aerospace products' team planned in advance and provided comprehensive technical briefings to the launch site personnel regarding the new state, ensuring that operations and contingency plans were correct, and the launch mission was flawless.

This mission continued to strengthen the implementation of management systems such as the "daily clearing meeting" and the "launch site digital management system (LDM)", to further refine the process at the launch site, and to solidly improve the effectiveness of the quality assurance work at the launch site.

This launch marks the 103rd launch of the Long March 4 series of launch vehicles, the 197th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, and the 489th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles.

Satellite test team

Fine management and control of the entire process to ensure the excellence in every operation

The satellite development team continued to maintain a cautious work style, and devoted themselves to the satellite's test mission with a fuller and more energetic spirit and a good working mindset to ensure that the satellite's development and launch mission were completed on time and with high quality.

With courageous innovation, advanced planning, strong implementation and strengthened supervision, the satellite launch test mission has been effectively guaranteed under the strict implementation of all measures. The satellite electrical test command and assembly chief took the initiative, following pre-established plans meticulously by progressive implementation. They also made timely improvements based on the actual situation. At the daily pre-shift meeting, the test team arranged the electrical test work for the day to ensure that each team member was well informed. Before commencing each phase of electrical test, the test team organized the designer at each electrical test position to learn the electrical test guidelines, ensuring smooth progress in the work.

The development team, in accordance with the satellite development process optimization requirements of Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, has inherited successful experiences and demonstrated their courage in taking on responsibilities and conducting thorough verification. Aerospace products scheduling was the meticulous planning of the launch site work schedule before entering the site, and after entering the site, the daily work plan for the day was formulated and released for implementation, clarifying the time, location, responsible person and cooperation table of each work to ensure the work schedule was in order.

The satellite development team continued to strengthen quality control of the launch site testing process. They strictly adhered to the requirements outlined in the test procedures, meticulously verifying test data for each test and conducting cross-reference consistency checks with previous test results, ensuring zero problems with the quality of the fully assembled satellite. The satellite's chief quality engineer continuously learned experiences from the past, achieving a paperless, comprehensive satellite data package. This approach ultimately realized the goal of "same operation, same test, same collection, same comparison, and same confirmation" in quality assurance work. This has also significantly improved work efficiency and optimized the quality assurance procedures at the launch site.
