At 19:39 on June 4, 2026, Long March 6A launch vehicle successfully lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, and precisely delivered Qianfan Polar Orbit Group 11 satellites into their designated orbits. The launch mission was a complete success.

The Long March 6A is a new-generation medium-lift launch vehicle with solid-fuel and liquid propellant developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST). The rocket can meet the diversified and intensive launch requirements, including launching single satellites, multiple satellites in parallel or tandem, and stacked, wall-mounted, or rideshare launches, with a payload capacity of no less than 6.5 tons for deploying satellites into a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit.

Since the launch site operations for this mission were fully initiated, the entire test team members have remained highly focused and united, accelerating their efforts to overcome key technical challenges and complete the assembly and testing tasks with high quality and efficiency. In response to the rainy weather conditions during the mission period, the model team made overall planning in advance, carried out a comprehensive review of the operational procedures, and developed rainproof protection measures. It also refined the operational specifications for key processes such as transportation and lifting, and strictly implemented safety management and control requirements to ensure product safety. Meanwhile, according to the personnel adjustments in different positions, centralized training and exchange sessions were organized to deepen staff’s understanding of product configuration and status, thus continuously strengthening their on-site operational capabilities.
Facing the change in the transportation route, the model team conducted surveys of the new route in advance and systematically reviewed all support requirements. Prior to the transfer, comprehensive inspections and verifications were conducted, with close attention paid to key processes to prevent and control risks. The launch vehicle transportation was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the successful completion of the launch mission.
This launch mission is the 24th launch of Long March 6A launch vehicle, the 268th flight test of the Long March series of launch vehicles developed by SAST, and the 648th launch of China’s Long March rocket fleet.
