Long March 6A Launch Vehicle Successfully Launched the Qianfan Polar Orbit Group 13 Satellites

At 17:30 on July 4, 2026, Long March 6A launch vehicle successfully lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, and precisely delivered Qianfan Polar Orbit Group 13 satellites into their destination orbit. The launch mission was a complete success.
The Long March 6A is a new-generation medium-lift launch vehicle with solid-fuel and liquid propellant developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST), which can meet the diversified and intensive launch requirements, including launching single satellites, multiple satellites in parallel or tandem, stacked, wall-mounted, and rideshare launches, with a payload capacity of no less than 6.5 tons for deploying satellites into a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit (SSO).


Throughout the mission, the model team consistently adhered to a rigorous, prudent, meticulous, and practical working approach. Through sound coordination and elaborate planning, the final assembly and testing activities at the launch area were carried out steadily and orderly. The test team routinely reviewed the implementation of launch area improvement measures, the status of the "Risk Management for the Nine Categories of New Risk Factors and Rework/Repair" initiatives, and the implementation of deviation reports, tracking each item individually to ensure that all corrective actions were fully implemented. Under the leadership of the Chief Commander and Chief Designer, the test team strictly fulfilled its job responsibilities and adhered to operational requirements by carrying out strict and meticulous quality control throughout the entire product lifecycle, thereby laying a solid foundation for the complete success of the launch mission.
This launch mission is the 25th launch of Long March 6A launch vehicle, the 271st launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles developed by SAST, and the 655th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles.
