At 11:41 AM on December 9, 2025, the Long March 4B launch vehicle was ignited and lifted off from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, successfully deploying the Yaogan-47 satellite into the destination orbit, signaling a complete success of the launch mission.

The Long March 4B launch vehicle is a level 3 launch vehicle with liquid propellant of normal temperature developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, is capable of launching various types of satellites for different orbits. It can carry out single satellite launches or simultaneous launches of multiple satellites, with a payload capacity of no less than 3.3 tons for deploying satellites into a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit.

During the mission, multiple rocket models operated concurrently at the launch site, which further compressed the overall work timeline. Facing the pressure from the tight deadline and heavy tasks, the model team established scientific planning, streamlined the processes, and deepened its management to ensure that all activities at the launch site proceeded in an orderly manner. At the same time, the model team strengthened the implementation of the management protocols such as the Daily Wrap-Up Meeting System, and used the customized LDM Digital Management System to ensure standardization and traceability of work. In response to the new risks arising from process optimization, the model team carried out multiple targeted reviews through precise identification and comprehensive control. They conducted several rounds of pre- and post-event reviews and simulations on key processes, thus effectively improving the quality management at the launch site and ensuring the safety and reliability of the mission.
The mission was carried out during winter, with cold, dry weather and strong winds. The launch vehicle faced multiple challenges, including thermal protection, dust and sand protection, electrostatic prevention, and wind load resistance. To address these problems, the model team developed contingency plans in advance, thoroughly assessed and identified all potential risks, and refined response measures to ensure the safety and reliability of the product.

This launch mission is the 114th launch of Long March 4 series of launch vehicles, the 252nd launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, and the 614th launch of China’s Long March series of launch vehicles.
