At 15:08 on October 17, 2025, the Long March 6A launch vehicle successfully lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, precisely deploying 18 Qianfan Jigui satellites into their destination orbit, signaling a complete success of the launch mission.

The Long March 6A is a new-generation medium-lift launch vehicle with solid-fuel and liquid propellant developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology. It can meet diverse and intensive launch requirements, including tandem, parallel, stacked, wall-mounted, and piggyback configurations for the launch of both single and multiple satellites, with a payload capacity of no less than 6.5 tons for deploying satellites into a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit.

This mission was carried out during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays. Despite this, the test team still stayed on duty and worked at the front line. Under the leadership of the chief designer and chief commander of the model team, they kept an empty cup mentality and tackled difficulties head on. When new situations and changes arose during the mission, they quickly assessed and analyzed them, promptly adjusted their work plans, and optimized the execution processes. Meanwhile, they paid close attention to every detail and implemented strict quality control measures. By keeping up the pace to improve the work efficiency while maintaining rigorous discipline to ensure reliability, they ultimately secured the successful completion of the launch mission.

This launch mission is the 18th launch of Long March 6A launch vehicle, the 249th flight test of the Long March series of launch vehicles developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, and the 601st launch of China’s Long March series of launch vehicles.
