At 6:03 PM on July 27, 2025, the Long March 6A launch vehicle successfully lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, precisely deploying the fifth group of low Earth orbit satellites for a Satellite Internet into their destination orbit, signaling a complete success of the launch mission.

The Long March 6A is a new-generation medium-lift launch vehicle with solid-fuel and liquid propellant developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST). It can meet diverse and intensive launch requirements, including tandem, parallel, stacked, wall-mounted, and piggyback configurations for both single and multiple satellites, with a carrying capacity of no less than 6.5 tons for deploying satellites into a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit.
Currently, the Long March 6A is in a phase of intensive launches. With unwavering commitment and a cautious attitude, all members of the test team maintained an empty cup mentality while completing all tasks to high standards and in full accordance with mission requirements.

Given the unique features of this mission, the test team further refined and quantified the operational procedures at the launch site, and carefully streamlined critical steps such as rocket transfer and docking, as well as satellite payload fairing encapsulation. Rain and heat protection, as well as enter the cabin and cable inspection were fully integrated into the digital management system at the launch site to improve both the effectiveness and accuracy of process control. The team also iterative refinement the contingency plans, in response to the strong upper-air wind in summer in Taiyuan, a modified load-reduced trajectory was developed to increase the likelihood of a successful launch. During the launch mission, the test team members took part in intensive technical exchanges and study sessions to deepen their understanding of the products and operational status. With the principle that every team member is fully involved and accountable, the team worked tirelessly to guarantee the success of this launch mission.
This launch is the 14th launch of Long March 6A launch vehicle, the 240th flight test of the Long March series of launch vehicles developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, and the 585th launch of China’s Long March series of launch vehicles.
