At 17:35 on July 3, 2025, the Long March 4C launch vehicle was lifted off from Xichang Satellite Launch Center, successfully deploying Shiyan-28B-01 satellite into the destination orbit, signaling a complete success of the launch mission.

During this mission, multiple tasks were being carried out simultaneously at the launch site. The test team worked closely and coordinated well with launch site personnel, ensuring the testing, installation, and joint operation process went smoothly, the product quality is reliable, and the process is controllable. The launch took place during Xichang’s rainy season, and the persistent rain posed a significant challenge to the rocket’s electrical systems. The test team took a proactive approach by thoroughly identifying risks, planning ahead, implementing comprehensive control measures, and executing with precision. A series of anti-rain and moisture-proof measures were taken. Notably, the rocket was fitted with a specially designed “raincoat” during transportation to ensure the environmental conditions were met during its storage and transfer.

This mission marked the first launch of the Long March 4 series of launch vehicles from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in 2025. Amid newly introduced changes to the rocket, satellite, and launch site, the test team worked with a mindset of “clear thinking and high vigilance”. With this as a foundation in management, for fundamental work, their emphasis was placed on “strengthening technical briefings, understanding product baselines, and promoting consistency checks”. For quality control, the team strictly avoided basic-level quality issues and rigorously enforced the quality confirmation system. In terms of risk prevention and control, they adopted a firm stance on “thorough risk identification and strict avoidance of complacency and habitual thinking”. Every step was documented, and every item was verified, thus ensuring that the work is carried out thoroughly and meticulously, ground validation is conducted comprehensively, and the launch mission is flawlessly executed.
This launch mission is the 111th launch of Long March 4 series of launch vehicles, the 239th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, and the 583rd launch of China’s Long March series of launch vehicles.
