At 04:00 on January 7, 2025, the Shijian-25 satellite was launched successfully from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center by Long March 3B launch vehicle. It was precisely placed into its destination orbit, making an excellent beginning for the launch mission of China in 2025. The satellite’s main mission is to validate the technology for satellite refueling and life extension.
Despite the challenges from the complex system structure, short development timeline, and coordination among multiple supporting entities, the satellite development team conducted systematic planning, and through careful organization, it rationally established the development technology, plans, and production assurance procedures. Through rigorous control of technical conditions, strict plan management, and effective implementation of production assurance measures, the team efficiently advanced every stage of the development process.
During the launch phase, the satellite model team fully demonstrated their profound love for the country by always upholding fundamental principles while breaking new ground, safeguarding their success, making selfless contributions, and serving the nation through aerospace. Adhering to a work ethic defined by “a cautious attitude, modesty and prudence, meticulousness, and the pursuit of excellence”, they meticulously planned the production assurance activities at the launch site. They reassessed the risks of the entire launch process and confirmed the emergency plans once again. For critical procedures and operations, they reviewed the detailed rules and ran simulations of the process. By implementing strict, standard, and effective production assurance measures, they ensured the accurate verification of product status at the launch site and the traceability of the process, thus guaranteeing zero defects and errors in the operations at the launch site.
The Shijian-25 satellite is developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology.
