At 2:51 on October 5, at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre, China successfully launched the Gaofen No. 10 satellite into the predetermined orbit by using the Changzheng No. 4 C carrier rocket. The mission was successfully completed. This great feat offers a special birthday present for the 70th anniversary of New China!

Developed by the Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute of China Aerospace Technology Group Co., Ltd., Gaofen No. 10 satellite is a microwave remote sensing satellite with high resolution arranged by the National Science and Technology Major Project of the High-Resolution Earth Observation System. The resolution of the ground image element can be up to sub-meter level. It is mainly used in the field of land census, urban planning, land right confirmation, road network design, crop yield estimation and disaster prevention and mitigation and, and can provide information guarantee for the implementation of national strategies such as "One Belt and One Road" and national defense modernization.
